Russia’s New War Room

As Russia continues to grow bigger and stronger on the political and military spheres in the world, a new war room was unveiled.

Officially called the National Control Defense Center, this building, which was finished last year, contains movie-theater sized screens, helicopter pads, and underground tunnels. It is three stories tall and can collect over 19 times more data than the National Military Command Center in the United States.

The Washington Post (here) has a detailed article on the structure and features of the building.

It is believed that this war room is a necessary step for modernizing the Russian military, a process that has started and accelerated under President Putin around 15 years ago.
